Displays
As a guide to both experienced
and prospective exhibitors/competitors of Thematics, the society is
grateful to some of its members for allowing their displays to be shown
here for educational purposes.
The
BTA
was very proud at Torquay 2006 when one of it's members Steve Boorn, won
the Harmers Diamond Jubilee Trophy for the best International Exhibit "The
Heart is Life".
This was the first time that a thematic exhibit won the Prix d'Honneur at
a National Show. It was a tremendous achievement for Steve and for
thematics in general.
There were 39 national entries in all with seven winning gold medals - buy
the best of all was a thematic entry.

The BTA Speaker

One of the objects
of the British Thematic Association (BTA) set out in its constitution is
the provision of a panel of speakers willing to visit Societies.
After several years BTA intends to bring this panel up to date.
So would members who are willing to give thematic displays to
Clubs/Societies please inform our Membership
Secretary, they are willing to give thematic displays and the
Theme.
The panel of speakers and subjects will eventually appear on the BTA
website, the list will only show Theme and Speakers Name with a brief
description where appropriate and will direct interested parties to a
central contact point.
